Sylvia Mary Niedrich LADSON - Sylvia Mary Niedrich, 89, of Summerville, South Carolina, passed peacefully into the Lord's care on September 30, 2025. Born July 3, 1936, in Boston, Massachusetts, she was the cherished daughter of the late Ture Segerstrom Nelson and Mary Nelson. Sylvia welcomed everyone with kindness and grace. Her life reflected faith, compassion, and joyful service to others. She was married for 70 years to Chief Master Sergeant William Edward Niedrich, USAF (Ret.), and together they built a life rooted in faith and family. She worked for many years as a beautician, where clients became friends, drawn to her listening ear and gentle spirit. She loved dancing and filling her home with the aromas of her cooking; her family will always remember the warmth of her kitchen and the joy of her table. Family was Sylvia's heart. She dedicated her life to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, always putting others before herself. Her legacy of faith, love, and devotion lives on in the many lives she touched. She is survived by her husband, William Edward Niedrich; her children, Sherry Ann Niedrich Harbin (Paul Clayton Harbin) and Ronald William Niedrich (Ruth Marie Niedrich); her grandchildren, William Richey Niedrich and Wesley Walton Teasley; her great-grandchild, Jax William Niedrich; and her sister, Marjorie Nornes. Psalm 23, a verse that guided Sylvia throughout her life, reminds us: "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." A visitation will be held Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, 303 S. Main Street, Summerville, SC 29483. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel, with burial to follow at Plantation Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Meals on Wheels in memory of Sylvia Mary Niedrich.
