Susan Diane Guterman DuRant JOHNS ISLAND - Susan Diane Guterman DuRant, 67, of Johns Island, SC, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at MUSC from complications of ALS. She was born on September 9, 1949 in Bossier City, LA. Suzi enjoyed a diverse career; her last position being Executive Director of the National Marine Manufacturing Association-South Carolina. Suzi is survived by her beloved husband, Nelson; father, Stanley Guterman and his wife, Barbara; sister, Sandra Nissen and her husband, Eric; mother-in-law, Julia DuRant; brother-in-law, Charlton DuRant and his wife, Lynn; sister-in-law, Julia Kimbrell and her husband, Curtis; niece, Louise Lindsay and her husband, Lucas; nephews Robert Kimbrell and Will DuRant; grandniece, Eliza Lindsay; and grandnephew, Alex Lindsay. Her mother, Luella Inglis, predeceased her. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 3:30 pm at the French Huguenot Church, 136 Church Street, Charleston, SC, with a reception to follow at 44 Queen Street.
