Emily and Thomas - I just learned and am so sorry for your loss. I worked with your Dad for many years. He was an excellent and supportive boss.

I remember fondly the great times we had going with Stephen, Lucy, Krete, Barbara, Rhoda and I to the Spoleto Jazz Festival every year for several years until they quit doing them. The first one Stephen and I had bought new coolers. Stephen's didn't really fit in his little car's trunk so we just laughed about it and swapped coolers because mine did. He said he still had it last time I talked to him. I could always depend on him for assisting me with various legal issues and it was a comfort to always know he was there if I needed him for that kind of thing. His advice was always spot on. We will miss him greatly, More than I can say. Our love to the family. -Kip

We are so sorry to hear about Steve's passing. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. He will be missed by many.

Rest in peace good friend. We played a lot of golf together when we were kids at CCC.

George and I were so saddened to hear the sad news about Stephen's passing. His wife, the deceased, Lucy was the sister of my dear deceased sister-in-law, Marjory. While I only met Stephen once, I felt like I knew him for years. My sincere condolences to Emily and Thomas.

The Stevens and Harley Family will deeply miss Attorney Schachte. He has handled a very complicated case for us with such integrity, knowledge, and kindness. And was currently handling a case. It is such a Shock! God knows Best! May God Comfort and Strengthen the entire Schachte Family.

Stephen was a wonderful member of the German Friendly Society and we all loved him as a dear friend. Our heart goes out to his family and loved ones during this difficult time. May the Lord bless you in a special way these days after the passing of your loved one. Let his memory become a treasure. Stephen was a treasure to all of us.

My deepest condolences to the Schachte family! I was Stephen's dental hygienist for many years. He was always such a pleasure to be around. He told many stories of his children and their fabulous adventures...always with great pride.

To stephens children & grands and other family members, I hope that all of you find peace & comfort in the days ahead. its such a shock because anytime you would see him, he would say he was doing pretty well.
