Sophia Ondo Obituary

ONDO, Sophia Sophia Frances Tajc Ondo , widow of George Ondo entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 9, 2007 in Charleston, SC. She was born in Homestead, PA a daughter of Joseph and Veronica Becker Tajc on Monday, May 13, 1912. Mrs. Ondo was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Her legacy is the family that survive her which are two sons, George Donald Ondo and his wife, Karen, of Pompano Beach, FL, Jerry G. Ondo and his wife, Mary Ellen, of Charleston; seven grandchildren, Barbara and Scott Morrison, Meghan and Wills Geils, John Patrick Ondo, Matthew Ondo, Maura Ondo, Jennifer Ondo, Heidi Marie Ondo; four great grandchildren, Caleigh Morrison, Christian Geils, Genevieve Geils, and Hampton Geils. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Sophia T. Ondo are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. this Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will be Thursday September 13, 2007 in the Pompano Beach City Cemetery in Florida. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to St. Joseph Church, 1695 Wallenberg Blvd., Charleston, SC 29407 or the John Ancrum SPCA, 3861 Leeds Ave., North Charleston, SC 29405.
