Sherry Capano Obituary
AGE: 59 • Delray Beach, Florida
Sherry L. Capano, age 59, of Delray Beach, FL, formerly of Wilmington, DE passed away on December 25, 2013.
Born on July 18, 1954 in Wilmington, DE, Sherry enjoyed the beach, traveling cooking and being with her family, especially talking to her grandson, Joey (Baby Cakes) Capano.
She attended Richardson Park and Conrad High School and graduated from James H. Groves School. Sherry will be dearly missed by her son, grandson and all of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben W. and Viola C. Heath; her sister, Hilda Steele; her niece, Gloria Carrow and step daughter, Stephanie Capano. She is survived by her son, Joe Capano (Shannon); grandson, Joey Capano, Jr., her sisters, Ruby Bibbs of Newark, DE, and Rachel Zane (Steve) of Wilmington, DE, her former husband, Frank Capano of Wilmington, DE and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 15 at 12 noon at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek where friends may visit from 11-12. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Emmanuel Dining Room, 121 N. Jackson St., Wilmington, DE 19805.

Dear Aunt Sherry,
I love you and will miss you very much. I enjoyed our many long conversations together. My condolences to Joe, Shannon,and Joe Jr. Also to my Aunt Rachel and family and my mother, Ruby. Take comfort that her spirit is at peace with Grandmom, Pop Pop, Aunt Hilda, Gloria, Great Aunt Hilda and Maggie.

Joey and Family,
I knew your mother before you were even born. We went to Richardson Park School together and marched with the band.I was a twirler and she I believe carried one of the rifles next to the flag. She was a grade ahead of me but was always very friendly and very popular. She and her family actually lived one street over from us for years. Your Grandmom Heath actually worked in the cafeteria at Park School and was always so nice. Your Mom had actually asked me for your a Dad's address when he was in the service overseas and from there on you can guess what happened!
LOL Our thoughts and prayers are with you and just remember that you will always be part of our family!
