Monica,
As I recently told you, I loved your mom dearly and am so, so sorry that she has passed. You published a wonderful obituary in Charleston.
May God bless her you and John.

To Shelia´s Family and Friends and especially you Monica because I feel as though I know you.
I had the privilege of being a classroom aide for your mother over 48 years ago under the Title I Reading Program. Working with Shelia had a profound effect on my life and that of my son who was in kindergarten at the time. She allowed him to spend the second half of each day in the room with us and our older students learning how to read, write and count. Her kindness and encouragement inspired lifelong learning and sharing for him. She taught me how to teach my children and continue to honor her to this day by working with young children. I regret not telling her how well things turned out for us and how much I appreciated her, so I am telling you. When we weren´t talking about my life, we were talking about you. Please know that I loved and admired your mom, and my heart is with you and your family.
Sending love, prayers and hugs your way...
