Mrs. Gilliard was the beloved wife of Mr. Tony Gilliard; the mother of Mr. Tony "T.J." Gilliard, Jr. and Cindy Rachel Gilliard; the sister of Rosa Lee R. Sams of Bronk, NY, Ronell R. Dingle (John) of Fayetteville, NC, Mary R. McFadden (Lyle) of Charleston, SC, Carolyn R. Black (Donald) of Miami, FL. George Rambert (Erie) Fort Washington, MD, Charlie Rambert (Reka) of Bronx, NY, and Richard Rambert of North Charleston, SC; the step sister of Barbara Etta Chandler (Brice) of North Charleston, SC, Barbara Ann Jones (Albert) of Blight, CA, Katherine Smith (Leroy) of Moncks Corner, SC, and Shirley Simmons (John L.) of North Charleston, SC ; the sister in law of Alfred Gilliard (Naomi), Betty Wright, Ben Gilliard (Connie), Laverne Johnson (Alfred) and Gail Gilliard; the grandmother of Tayla Gilliard.
