Sander Crosby Obituary

CROSBY, Sander WALTERBORO - Mrs. Sander Oliver Crosby, of 111 Sharon Drive, and widow of Lt. Elwood Crosby (USN), died Wednesday at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. She was 93. Mrs. Crosby was born July 2, 1912, in Cranston, RI, a daughter of the late Dominic Oliver and Angelina Oliver. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Walterboro. Survivors include: a son, Elwood B. Crosby and wife Ericka of Charleston, a daughter, Shirley C. Galloway and husband Jack of Walterboro, a sister, Grace Wellman of California, two grandsons, Michael Crosby and Nicholas Crosby, and her companion of over 40 years, Aaron Cunningham. A wake service will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, in St. Anthony Catholic Church with visitation following until 8 p.m. in the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, in St. Anthony Catholic Church conducted by Father Don Abbott.
