I have fond memories of Sam when he was growing up. We rode the same school bus to school. Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories forever.

Mrs Rice, I know you and the kids probably won't remember me as it has been a very long time since I saw you Sam and the kids. I came to your house many times as a young man with Henry Burkhalter and my dad Wilson Moseley. We use to lease most all of the land for deer hunting from Mr Sam and several other tracks of land from 301 down Hwy 3. I took my first deer and many others through the years as a young boy. Your husband put me out on stands up near your house where I killed one with shotgun and he took another with his rifle. I also hunted with Sam IV some but he was still pretty young himself. I was very proud of Sam and his service as a pilot, and dreamed of flying one day myself because of him. He served in the Air Force and I did later in the Army where I also became a Officer and actually was still in the Reserves and went to the first War in the Persian Gulf where I was decorated for my service and leadership. I like to think today that I gained some of examples from not only my dad but Sam as well. He was truly a good man and gentleman in every way. His character showed in everything in did in this life. I'm very sorry for your loss and kids I know how you feel I lost my dad 4 years ago and my mom in January of this year. I'd like to share a special message that has always gave me strength and hope. "God went out today to gather flowers, and among them he gathered ours" Rest assured Sam is in heaven today and our Lord is telling him Rest my son for you have done well!
May God Bless each of you during the days to come and for the rest of your lives. Respectfully Glen

Mrs. Ann Rice;

I am sorry to read about the passing of Sam. There are no words that I can express that will cure your broken heart.

It is times like these that we must rely on our faith in Jesus Christ. We as Christians know that we will see Sam again.

Just think of the joy and excitement that Sam is experiencing there in the very presence of God.

Ann, you and your family are in mine and Karen's prayers.

With Love and respect.
