Samuel Kirby Obituary

KIRBY, III, Samuel VANCE - Funeral services for Samuel "Sammy" Tilton Kirby, III, 55, will be at 4 p.m., Saturday, September 24, 2005 in the Target United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Holly Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Burk, Fred Connor, III, John Hanes, Ashley Hastings, James Simons, and Mitch Uzzle. Born April 2, 1950 in Holly Hill, he was the son of Mary Pendarvis Kirby and the late Samuel T. Kirby, Jr. He attended Furman University and graduated from Charleston Southern University. Surviving are his mother of Holly Hill; daughters, Anne Hillingsworth Kirby and Mary Pendarvis Kirby, both of Eutawville; and a sister, Beth Kirby Connolly of Eutawville. The family will receive friends at the home of Beth and Jim Connolly, 212 Knott Drive, Eutawville from 5 to 7 p.m. this Friday. Memorials may be made to Avingers Funeral Home, P.O. Mary, MaryPen, Ann, Beth and Holly all > My heart goes out to each of you. Sammy was a large part of your life, and I know you feel his untimely loss greatly, and sadly.
