I knew Sam through my sister, Norma. Sam and I shared two things in common - our birth date - March 9 - and our love in doing Cryptograms!! It was always a pleasure to be in his company to hear his stories and to see that smile!

I remember so well as a young girl, my dad Harry & uncle Ed playing cards at Sam's house on Saturday nights. My family has known Sam & Linda for over 44yrs and will miss the sweet smile and big wave he would give passing by in his golf cart. Our condolences to the entire Showell family.

I had many fond memories of Mr. Showell as a boy growing up at White House Beach. I recall many plane rides with him. I will keep the Showell family in my prayers.

I have known Sam and his wife, Linda for many years through Oak Forest and as a WHB tenant for 20 years. He was a kind man that loved to chat and share his many stories of flying. I will miss seeing him on his golf cart. May he be at peace!

My husband and I knew Sam from Oak Forest and through my sister, Norma. We always enjoyed time talking with Sam as he was such an interesting man, with knowledge about much. He had a sense of humor with a sweet smile to accompany it!! He was a sweet, kind man and I know he's enjoying peace now with his loving wife, Linda.
