To all the family,
Love, prayers and sympathy go out to all of you. It was a shock and I had planned to come to North Augusta soon to visit. A lesson -- don't put off like I do. Life is too short! When Homer and Sally were first married and Sally and I would have the task of cleaning up the kitchen when Moma "put on the spread" like she always did, that's when Sally and I became close. She was more than a sister in law; she was a sister. We would finish in the kitchen and then Sally would go with me to the piano. No one could play "Star dust" like Salley. She was so talented, so smart and was a role model for me then, just a teenager. As I grew older,I wanted to be able to "play" like her and was inspired by her "drive". She accomplished much in her life for a woman of that era and I will never forget the "good times". I loved her and I know she loved me. We had a bond like I feel I have with you.
Take care of yourselves and "love one another".
Much love and sympathy,
Frankie J. Evans
