Trudy, Trey & "Puck": I was truly saddened to hear about Ryan's passing. It was a shock as I'm sure it was to you. Jeff and I just couldn't believe it. I understand that Ryan leaves behind a young family and I hope they find the strength to live thru his memories. I have great ones as well.. I remember the CUTEST white blond haired, tanned little boy playing at Folly Beach in his "Birdwells" while Trudy was sunbathing in the lounge chair. And in the circle... getting into all sorts of trouble w/ the neighbors. What a cute kid! I know that he will be missed by all. Fondly, Sherri

I KNEW RYAN FROM HIGH SCHOOL. WE GRADUATED IN 1992. WE LOST TOUCH OVER THE YEARS. YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS, RYAN WAS A GOOD PERSON.

I was blessed to have known you. You will be missed but fondly remembered.

My name is Wendi Vaught Lee and I am the Alumni Specialist at Coastal Carolina University. I was so saddened to hear about Ryan's passing and you all will be in my prayers. May God comfort and bless you at this time of need.

To Ryan, throughout your youth, you were the 'king', the most popular and well-liked boy there was. As you matured, your likability only increased, proving yourself to be a loving Dad, forgiving friend, and beloved son, brother, and grandson. If fate could turn back the hands of time, so many would tell you how incredible and unforgetable you always were. Knowing you now are aware of the undying care so many have for you, brings solace to many of us. Your passing is the worst shock, but atleast you will be forever young, frozen in our memories as a beautiful soul and friend.

I knew Ryan in school and we had a fun friendship! Many laughs were shared!! I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to hire Ryan to outfit our new house with AC/Heat less than a year ago. That aloud me to rekindle my friendship with Ryan. I remember us sitting on my front porch catching up on life and he spoke so beautifully about the Love of his Life; his daughter!! I could see that she was everything to him. My heart and prayers go out to Ryan's family and friends.

I just saw Ryan a few weeks ago and he looked great. He had nothing but positive things to say about his life and his family...he was so proud. We went to school together and were friends for almost 20 years, although it was rare that we saw each other out. He was a caring person and had such a large following of friends. He will be truly missed.

I was so shocked and truly sorry to hear of the loss of Ryan. I was his 6th grade teacher. He was always a happy boy and lots of fun in class. I am always interested to learn about my former students from Harbor View Middle and Ft Johnson Middle Schools. Even though I am retired from teaching middle school, I still have every one of my school yearbooks. I will find the one with Ryan in it to eminisce. He attended my wedding as one of the five school students from my class did in 1986. I can still see his grin now!! I know Ryan was loved by all and was a blessing to everyone who knew him. You have my sincere sympathies.

I knew Ryan back when we were in 5th grade together. He lived in my neighborhood on James Island. Though I haven't seen him in years, I'm sorry to hear that he is gone.
