Dear Peggy and Family,
Let me say how saddened I was to hear of Ryan's Passing. You have been in my Prayers for a long time. I just heard today. I am sorry I have not been able to help you and the girls. I wish to share with you a poem that was given to me when my son Steven passed away. It is called the Broken Chain.
We Little Knew that morning that God was going to call you name.
I Life we loved you Dearly.
In Death We Do the Same.
It broke our Hearts to lose you. you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
Your Love is Still our Guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always by our side.
Our Family Chain is broken
and nothing seems the same,
but as God Calls us one by one,
The Chain will link again.

Your family will be in my thoughts and in my prayers. Please know you can call on me if you need me.

Dear Dawn, it's me Frank Volckaert from Belgium. I don't know if you remeber me. I was in Charleston in 1983 visiting my Belgium friends the family Smagghe. It's a miracle but just today, (29/7) 24 years later, I was searching on the internet for your name and I found the in memoriam of your dad Ryan. I'm so sorry to read that, I can't explain it in English but know you are in my prayers also your mom and sisters. I want to ask and tell you so much more but that is not apropriate right now. Please accept my deepest sympathies. May your memories of your dad bring you comfort.May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Dear Peggy, Dawn, and family
I just wanted to tell you how much Mr. Ryan meant to me. He was always the brightest star in the sky. I love him like he was my Dad. I am so sorry for your loss, but he will always be loved and cherished. I love you all and you are all in my prayers. With my deepest sympathy,
Marie Gibson

If I had my life to do over,
I'd have chosen you to be my dad.
Even if it meant losing you again,
It's worth all the tears in the
world.
You were my sunshine when skies
were gray.
I loved you and honored you;
You took all my tears away.
You meant the world.
Your love was always pure;
You treated me as your own.
Your time seemed all too short and
I feel so alone.
What can I take from this?
My heart is completely crushed.
But nothing loved is ever lost -
And you are loved so much. I love you and will never forget you!

Dear Peggy:
Please accept my heartfelt sympathy over your loss. Ryan was such a good man. I loved the fact that he was always so kind to my mother. She thought the world of him and spoke glowingly of him. I am forever grateful for his thoughfulness toward her.
As I think of you today, my mind returns to our chilhood in Hanahan and growing up with your sisters and brother and with your mom and dad at home and at church. We had wonderful times together.
May God continue to bless you and your family and give you peace in this time of grief.
My very best regards,
Pat Kennedy
