Rose Ruth Cessna MT. PLEASANT - Rose Ruth Arends Cessna, 85, widow of Robert S. Cessna of Mt. Pleasant, SC, died on Friday, July 9, 2010. The friends and relatives of Rose Ruth Cessna are invited to attend her Funeral Services at Victory Baptist Church on Sunday, July 11, 2010, at two o'clock. Burial will be held in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo, Iowa at a later date. ARRANGEMENTS BY J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. The family will greet friends at the church following the service. Rose Ruth was born September 5, 1924, in Grundy County, Iowa daughter of the late Peter Arends and Grace Hook Arends. Rose Ruth was the Property Manager for Senior Citizens locations in Illinois, and was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Myers and her husband, Joe of Mt. Pleasant, SC; daughter, Beth Jo Ellen Moore and her husband, John Kevin of Carrboro, NC; sister, Irene Bird of Waterloo, IA; two sister- in-laws, Lucille Arends of Charles City, Iowa, and Eleanor Arends of Humboldt, Iowa; six grandchildren, Jolee Myers, Desiree Myers, Jason Myers, Joshua Myers, Tyler Moore, and Drew Moore. She was preceded in death by her brother, Grant Arends, her sister, Violet Armstrong, and her brother, Merle Arends. Memorials may be made in honor of Rose Ruth Cessna to Victory Baptist Church, 335 Woodland Shores Road, James Island, SC 29412.
