Robert Mulholland Obituary

MULHOLLAND, Robert Robert Mark Mulholland, age 54, of Mount Pleasant, SC, died on December 28, 2007. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at Stella Maris Catholic Church on Monday, December 31, 2007, at twelve noon, by the Rev. Msgr. Lawrence B. McInerny, JCL, Pastor, Stella Maris Catholic Church, Sullivan's Island, SC. Rite of Committal at Riverview Memorial Park, located at 3715 Azalea Drive, Charleston, SC. Visitation will take place at the Church one hour prior to the service. Mark was born on May 19, 1953, in Huntington, WV, son of Robert J. Mulholland and the late Helen Lucille Crawford Mulholland. He attended the Hyde School in Bath, ME, and was a 1972 graduate of Huntington High School. He graduated in 1976 from Transylvania University in Lexington, KY., with a Bachelors Degree in History. He attended Marshall University Graduate School, later earning a Masters Degree in Teaching from The Citadel in Charleston, SC. Mark was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, the Sons of Confederate Veterans, Fort Sumter Camp, an active member of the Exchange Club of Charleston, and a member of the Scottish Society of Charleston, SC. He also was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association of America and the Confederate Air Force. He was self-employed in historic development and renovation, co-owner of Holland Homes, LLC, and for many years was the managing partner of the Maison Du Pre' Historic Inn, Charleston, SC. He was an avid jazz enthusiast, historian, a great collector and model airplane hobbyist. He was a loving and completely devoted son, husband, and father. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Helen Lucille Crawford Mulholland. He is survived by his wife, Angela Broadway Mulholland, and his children, Kristina Lucille Mulholland and Robert Reid Mulholland, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and his father, Robert J. Mulholland, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and his sister, Teri M. Bergin, of Huntington, WV. He is also survived by greatly beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as many beloved friends. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Stella Maris Catholic Church, 1204 Middle Street, Sullivan's Island, SC 29482 or the French Huguenot Church, 44 Church Street, Charleston, SC 29401.
