July 21, 2010

I had the pleasure and honor to be Vernon's collegue and friend at the Environmental Research Laboratory in Athens. He was well respected and liked by his peers. Among his contributions to science was the development of a unique multielement neutron activation analysis capability while working at the reactor at Georgia Tech. My condolences go to all of Vernon's family.
