Dr. Lumpkin was a great person, not just a doctor. I managed Harmony Hills for him and he delivered my son. I offer this tribute to Dr. Lumpkin: The smallest things can change our lives, One hand reaching to another, One prayer whispered in faith, One moment that shines with His Presence. Old friends are like flowers that brighten your day, I think God put them there to help you along life's way. They listen to your troubles when you are blue and listen to happy things that happen to you. I think life is a journey that we are traveling through, I thank God for sending a friend like you !

I have wonderful memories of Dr. Lumpkin and his family during my visits to Georgetown during my childhood. Bless his wife Sarah, his children and grandchildren and his former patients and friends as they mourn his death.

We are saddened by the loss of Dr. Lumpkin. We have seen examples of the great character he must have instilled in his children and grandchildren through our relationship with Nat Baker. We heard many wonderful things about his as a father, grandfather, and physician. People who know him in Summerville from having worked with him in Georgetown still praise his contributions there. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with each of you now and in the future. May God bless you all.
