Robert Barker Obituary

BARKER, Robert Robert E. "Bob" Barker, 74, husband of Shirley Bowers Barker of Summerville, SC died Sunday, August 7, 2005 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning, August 10, 2005 at Summerville Community Seventh Day Adventist Church at 11 o'clock. Burial will be in Summerville Cemetery. Friends may call this Tuesday evening from 6 - 8 o'clock. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Lutheran Hospice, 900 Johnnie Dodds Blvd., Suite 200, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. Mr. Barker was born May 19, 1931 in Greensboro, NC; a son of Earl Barker and Kerseeda Mack Barker. He was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict, retired Salesman for Dixie Furniture, Assistant Manager of the Cafeteria Association (Navy Yard) Service Station, and owned a small business. He was a Mason with the Dorchester Lodge #369 AFM and a 32 degree member of the Scottish Rite. Survivors include his wife, Shirley B. Barker of Summerville, SC; daughter, Shirleen Boone and husband Larry of Brooksville, FL; three sons, Dennis Barker of Charleston, SC, Larry Barker and wife Lily of North Charleston, SC, and Bobby Joe Barker of Summerville, SC; two grandchildren, Angela Harrison of Pensacola, FL and Tiffany Deas of North Charleston, SC; three great-grandchildren.
