Richard Kollman Obituary

KOLLMAN, Richard MTC Richard T. Kollman, USN (Ret), 69, of Goose Creek, SC died Tuesday, July 15, 2008 in Mt. Pleasant, SC. He was born on November 22, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY the son of Robert Kollman and Elisabeth Maul Kollman. He was retired from the US Navy as a Missile Technician Chief and worked for Lockheed for many years. Richard earned an associate degree in Engineering Technology from Trident Technical College. He was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his mother of Kalamazoo, MI and his five children: Teri Edwards and her husband Jack of Greenville, SC, Ricky Kollman and his wife Roxanne of Moncks Corner, SC, Christi Whitehouse and her husband Jeff of Bloomington, IL, Bobbi Bartee of North Charleston, SC and DeeDee Teasdale of Dubuque, IA; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Betty Dapson of Kalamazoo, MI. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Danemeyer Kollman in 1998 and his son-in-law, Ricky Bartee. The graveside service with military honors will be held Friday, July 18, 2008 at 12:30 P.M. in Beaufort National Cemetery. The family will receive friends this Thursday between 6:00 and 8:00 P.M. in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, N. Charleston.
