Rheba Isgitt Obituary

Rheba Isgitt N. CHARLESTON - Rheba Isgitt, 74, of North Charleston, the widow of Donald Ray Isgitt, died Monday, March 8, 2010 at her home. Born May 28, 1935 in Laurel, Mississippi; she was the daughter of the late Barney Smith and Hettie Key Smith. Rheba was a wonderful wife and mother whose greatest joy was her family. She was a long standing member of the SC Physically Handicap Association, the Deer Park Neighborhood Council and the VFW Post 3142 on Dorchester Road, North Charleston. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 44 years, Donald Isgitt and great-grandson Ian Flowers. Rheba is survived by her three sons: Dennis Isgitt (Annette) of North Charleston, Ricky Isgitt (Rosie) of Summerville and Frank Isgitt (Patty) of Cordesville; two brothers: Barney Smith (Genvia) of Bastrop, LA and Dennis Ray Smith (Linda) of West Monroe, LA; sixteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; many loving nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel, 869 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek. The funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow at Plantation Memorial Gardens, Hwy. 17A, Moncks Corner. Pallbearers will be Frank Altice, Bart Hail, Sean Lucas, Joey White, Carl Weaver and Tom Young.
