George Isgitt Sr. GOOSE CREEK - George Franklin Isgitt Sr., age 99, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023. George was born in Darlington, SC, on October 8, 1923. He is survived by his son George Isgitt Jr. (Gail); his daughter Sandra Demumbreum (Jim); five grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Gertrude "Trudy" Isgitt, and his parents, John F. Isgitt and Maime M. Isgitt. George worked 38 years in Civil Service with the Army Corps Of Engineers and the Naval Weapons Station, in Charleston, SC. After that he went on to work 28 years with National Car Rental. In his free time George loved watching NASCAR Racing, Fox News, and Clemson football games. George always said his secret to a long life was "No drinking, no smoking, and no wild women". A visitation for George will be held at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home on Friday August 4, 2023, at 11:00 AM with a graveside service to follow at 12:00. 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406.
