Rachel Hutchison Burt SUMMERVILLE - Rachel Hutchison Burt, age 81, passed away at Magnolia's Assisted Living in Summerville, SC, Aug. 22, 2016, following an extended illness. Born in Abbeville County, SC, a graduate of Anderson College and retired from Associates in General Surgery, Greenville, SC. Survivors include daughter, Julie Hite Powell (Jason) of Summerville, SC and her sister, Christine Vickery, of Elberton, GA. Rachel is preceded in death by husband, Roger Burt; son, Michael B. Stevens; parents, BB and Mary Hutchison; and brother, Archie Hutchison. Service and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Sellers Senior Center - 312 N. Laurel Street, Summerville, SC 29483 or McCarter Presbyterian Church - 2 Pelham Road, Greenville, SC 29615. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for Rachel during her illness.
