Peter Edwards Obituary

Peter was in every sense, a class act. His life was a valedictory address. We of the Class of 1962 are honored by his life; he was the best of all of us.

Peter was the face of the St. Andrews High School Class of 1962 and of many organizations throughout his life. He was the epitome of a real friend and the best friend of many. Peter's warm outgoing personality always lit up a room and made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Everyone who knew Peter has many fond memories. He will be greatly missed by family and his many friends.

I have the best memories of Peter when he was on the Board at the Pharmacy Association and I was staff. Such a kind and giving man with the best sense of humor. My thoughts and prayers are with Laurie and your children.

Peter's positive outlook and sense of humor made him a pleasure to work with at the College. He was always so accommodating when I asked for help with rotations for residency-bound students, I gave him the nickname, "Bestest friend." His legacy will live on in the many pharmacists whose lives he touched.

I remember the first day he showed up with his iconic bow tie to begin work with the formidable Ralph. What a breath of fresh, humorous air! He will be missed.

We had the pleasure of working with Peter at the College of Pharmacy. He was always there with a smile and usually a joke or funny story. He really knew the ins and outs of pharmacy in South Carolina and was a tremendous asset to the College. He will be sorely missed but fondly remembered.

What a wonderful human being Peter was. I worked with Peter for many years at the college and he was always kind, supportive and witty. I considered him not only a colleague but a good friend as well. He will be greatly missed, but his tremendous impact on students, faculty and staff will live on.
