Pearlie Payne Obituary

Pearlie Lewis Payne N. Charleston - Pearlie Lewis Payne, 91, of North Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Marion Guy Payne, entered into eternal rest Saturday, September 9, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2017 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Pearlie was born February 4, 1926 in Cumberland, Kentucky, daughter of the late James Lewis and Janie Cody Lewis. She was a lifelong member of Cooper River Baptist Church. She is survived by her three daughters, Eileen DeWeese Bessinger of Charleston, SC; Shirley DeWeese Entwistle of North Charleston, SC; Brenda Gail Wheatley (Chuck) of Charleston, SC; son, Steven Guy Payne (Marie) of Virginia Beach, VA; two step-daughters, Cynthia Payne Meekins of Thorton, CO and Marian Payne Buchans of Deland, Fl; brother, David Lewis of Newton, NC; three sisters, Eva Lee Brooks of Goose Creek, SC, Ruby Parker of Edgewater, FL, Berta Riley of Maineville, OH. She was a wonderful mother, and her six grandchildren, Robbie, Stephanie, P.J, Guy, Melissa, Derrick, held a special place in her heart along with her seven great-grandchildren. The family would like to send a special thank you to Martha, Cindy, Donna, and Britt for their wonderful care and love during her illness.
