Pauline Hart Obituary

Pauline A. Hart HAMPTON, SC - Mrs. Pauline Asplin Hart, 96, of Joey St. in Hampton died at her residence on Saturday morning February 4th, 2012 after an extended illness. She was the widow of Gordon Davis Hart. Born October 26th, 1915 in Cleveland, OH she was the daughter of the late William Edward Asplin and Josephine Black Asplin. Mrs. Hart was a homemaker, and an avid reader and bridge player. She was the oldest member of the Varnville 1st. Baptist Church, and a member of the Eastern Star. Survivors include: two sons: Dr. Gordon Craig Hart and wife Joan of St. Charles, MO, and Kent Aubrey Hart and wife Christy of Breckenridge, CO, one daughter, Karen H. Tennant and husband Cliff of Aiken, SC, one sister, Wilma A. Kimberly of Hudson, FL. There are nine grandchildren: Amy Brandes, Diane Blumberg, Eric Hart, John Lenger, Matthew Lenger, Nathan Tennant, William Hart, Tara Jackson, Bellamy Harthrun, and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 9th, 2012 at 2 P.M. in the Varnville 1st Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Dr. Tommy Kelly and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Hampton Cemetery. Friends may call at the church beginning at 1 P.M. prior to the service on Thursday afternoon. Memorials in her honor may be directed to Varnville 1st.
