Paul Warren Obituary

Paul Warren WILLIAMS, SC - Paul Monroe Warren of Williams passed away May 7, 2020 at his residence, surrounded by his wife and daughters, following a brief illness. He was the son of Lula Carter and Leo Maxwell Warren or Williams, SC. He was 82. He was co-owner of Warren & Griffin Lumber Company. He was a conservationist and found great pleasure in feeding wildlife, cruising timber and acquiring land. He enjoyed working at his sawmill and the camaraderie of his nephews, employees and customers. Paul Warren graduated from Clemson University in 1961. He was a member of the Williams United Methodist Church. He was a modest and humble man, known for his integrity, kindness and generosity. He loved his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Nita Warren; two daughters, Paulette Headden (Gary) and Traci Ellis (Betts) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; five granddaughters; Morgan Khawaja (Georges), Kendall Headden, Merritt Headden, Carter Ellis and Grayson Ellis all of Mount Pleasant; and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barrie and Rick Kelly, whom he considered his blood sister and brother. He was predeceased by his beloved grandson and "partner", Bowen Paul Ellis. He is also survived by his siblings, Miriam Wait and Maxwell Warren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Harriett Caldwell, Leonora Dobbins, James Warren and Rutledge Warren. The family would like to thank Dr. Tim Jones of Charleston for his compassion and care for many years and also Amedisys Home Health and Hospice of Walterboro for their expertise and guidance during Paul's final days. Arrangements for a private graveside service to be held at Williams Cemetery are being made by Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home. We are sorry that his funeral must be private to preserve everyone's health, but please use this page, www.facebook.com/inMemoryofPaulWarren/ as a way for all of us to commemorate him and find joy in our memories.
