Paul Wallace Obituary

Paul W. Wallace HAMPTON, SC - Mr. Paul William Wallace widower of Edith J. Wallace of Bamberg Hwy. in Hampton died Sunday morning June 26th, 2011 at the Veteran's Victory House in Walterboro, SC after a brief illness. Born in Nethers, VA he was the son of the late Bernard J. Wallace and Lillian Clayton Wallace. Mr. Wallace served his country in the United States Army during World War II and later retired from Sea Pines Plantation in Hilton Head, SC working in Private Security. He enjoyed raising cows, gardening, reading, and his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a loving husband and father and will be greatly missed. Mr. Wallace is survived by three daughters: Mary Fisk and husband David of Walterboro, SC, Paulette Creswell and husband Terry of Brunson, SC, and Lil Rentz and husband Richard of Branchville, SC, five grandchildren: Robin Craven and husband Bobby, Terry Creswell, Jr. and Wife Donna, Tom Creswell, Ralph Wallace and Lyle Rentz; five great grandchildren: Lynne Creswell, Sam, Adam, and Evan Creswell, and Cassie Craven. He was predeceased by four brothers, one sister, and one great grandson: Zachary Clayton Creswell. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday June 29th, 2011 at 10 A.M. in the Johnson-St. Paul Cemetery in Hampton conducted by the Elder Robert Dobson and the Rev. Craig Crosby, and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home located at 300 Mulberry St. West; Hampton, SC 29924 (803-943-3352) on Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 P.M. Memorials in his honor may be directed to the Johnson-St. Paul Cemetery Association c/o Mr. Sonny Jarrell; 540 Co Op Road West; Hampton, SC 29944.
