The COB represented everything right about Chiefs in the Navy...how they take care of the crew and junior officers. I'll never forget my first day on NARWHAL, Master Chief put his hand on my shoulder and said, "Son, you stick with me and I'll get you qualified." I tell this story often.

Lynda and Family,
Please accept our sincerest condolences at this time. I've had the pleasure of working with a few good folks over the course of my career, and there's not a one whose insight, generosity and dedication has ever surpassed that which Rick always brought to our team with a smile. I've no doubt that there's already a few winged spirits who have had a hearty laugh from one of Rick's notable quips, and a few more who are now diligently putting some finishing touches on their own "mosaic grande" with his guidance!
Sincerely,
Tom and Teresa Adams

Rick was a coworker for quite a few years, and we logged many miles and we shared many laughs. He tried to pass on to me some of the lessons he had learned over the course of his careers, and I'd like to think a few may have stuck. I am very proud to say our relationship went beyond the workplace and we shared a friendship I will not forget. I will miss my dear friend. Lynda, you know Gina and I are right up the road.

Lynda, I'm so sorry to hear about Rick. He was and will always be somebody that I admired deeply. Through the years of working with Rick, he has taught myself and many others so many things. He even taught me how he could whip my tail in Golf, on constant basis. I also loved his little sayings: My personal favorite is: ''I was in Baghdad when you was in your blank, blank''. He made me laugh on many occasions with that one. Rick will be sadly missed but never forgotten. May God bless you and the Family in this time of grief.
