Patricia Ann Arledge Wilcox VARNVILLE, SC - Mrs. Patricia Ann Arledge Wilcox of Belle Lane in Varnville, died Friday in the University Hospital in Augusta after an extended illness. Mrs. Wilcox was born in Statesboro, GA May 24, 1943 a daughter of the late Heusie and Gladys McElveen Arledge. She was a Legal Secretary for the Chief Judge with the Federal Court and Department of Transportation in Washington, D.C. After retirement, she made Varnville her home and was a member of the Robertville Baptist Church in Robertville. Surviving are: her husband: Richard John Wilcox of Varnville; daughters: Annette L. Waddell and husband Rodney of Mt. Airy, Maryland and Tina M. Tolbert and husband Reginald of Lexington, SC; brother: Rufus "Pete" Arledge of Hampton; and grandchildren: Travis, Dylan, Jared, Amanda, and Reggie. Mrs. Wilcox was pre-deceased by four sisters: Ann Scarselletta, Virginia Rushing, Martha Ward and Rebecca Rushing. Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday in the Robertville Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Redden Tuten, with burial in the Church Cemetery directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton. Friends may call at the Chapel in Hampton located at 300 Mulberry Street, West; Hampton, SC 29924 (803-943-3352) from 5 to 7 PM Sunday, and Monday morning at 10 AM when the casket will be placed in the Church prior to services. The family suggests that those who wish may send memorials to the Robertville Baptist Church; 26 Robertville Drive, Garnett, SC 29922. Sorry to hear about Aunt Pat's passing. My memory of Pat is that she was a quiet spoken woman who was always very kind. Our deepest sympathy to Uncle Richard and the kids from me and my family.
