Lucia and Carolina, Thinking of your family and sending my love and support. So many funny memories of your dad - He was definitely one of those "larger than life" characters. I've used his description of 'musty' food so many times! Love to you all!

Mr. Smoak was the most memorable teacher with his many comical comments. Always enjoyed hearing about his "dogs", the fixer-upper houses that he bought. He made class fun every day and he has a special place in so many hearts. [Wando 1983]

Privileged to have had him as a teacher at Moultrie, but didn't realize it enough at the time. Unforgettable driver training session. My condolences to the family.

Norwood, Mr. Smoak, was a great neighbor on Bull Street for many years. He was helpful to the many neighbors and would always share if he had extra. His passion for Charleston never dimmed. When he move to Sullivans Island to "retire" he never slowed down. Prayers for comfort to his family and many friends.
