Nora McCarthy Spain Charleston - Nora McCarthy Spain, 73, of Folly Beach, SC, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. Born on July 20, 1949 in Hamilton, ON, she was the daughter of the late Audrey Couchon McCarthy and the late William McCarthy. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who spent as much time with her family as possible. She was a registered nurse who cared for many patients over the years. She will be missed by many. Besides her parents, Nora is preceded in death by her brother, Paul McCarthy. Nora is survived by her spouse, George Spain III and her son, David Spain and his wife, Margaret Minch and their children, Connor and Suzie Spain. She is also survived by her daughter, Shannon Robinson and her husband, Shane Robinson. The family will receive friends on Friday, Friday, July 29, 2022 from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, James Island. 347 Folly Rd, Charleston, SC 29412.
