Naomi Young Obituary

Naomi Young Summerville - Naomi Gadsden Young, the daughter of the late Mr. Isaac and Bertha Gadsden, was born on June 6, 1950 in Charleston County, South Carolina. She entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 20, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Young. Naomi was educated at Bonds-Wilson High School. She was an active member of New Zion R.M.U.E. Church. She was a Sunday School Teacher, member of the Young Adult and Senior Choirs. She was also the Choir Secretary. Naomi leaves to cherish her memory, her loving children; Derrick Gadsden and Monyetta (Jennis) Lee, grandchildren; Mickel Stanley, Amaru Gadsden, Taiquez Lee, TaNyla Lee, siblings; Dorothy Washington, Ruth Sumter, Linda (Kenneth) Gass, Raymond (Clara) Gadsden and Ronald Gadsden, brothers and sisters who preceded her in death; Leroy Gadsden, Marian Greer and Oritha Jones, her loving great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends; Lou Ann Gregory, Alexander Greer, Molly Doctor, Patricia Green, Sylvia Levy, Shirley Banks, Burnett Campbell, special daughters; Reyona Williams, Tlana Hamilton and Shakiyah Epps. Funeral services and burial will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM ~ New Zion R.M.U.E. Church. The walk through will held on Monday, September 27, 2021 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
