Nancy Nettles Summerville - Nancy Nettles, 81, of Summerville, wife of the late Tommie Nettles, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at her residence.Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 1 o'clock to 2 o'clock at Summerville Baptist Church, 417 Central Ave., Summerville, SC 29483. A funeral service will begin at 2 o'clock at Summerville Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Boone Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, Tupperway Dr., Summerville, SC 29483. Nancy was born on January 17, 1940 in Walhalla, SC, daughter of the late Marvin and Mary Motte. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, and planning weddings. She was a Summerville High School graduate from the Class of 1958. She loved her family and friends and will be dearly missed. Survivors are: children: Tommie E. Nettles, Jr. and John M. Nettles (Marie), and Kathryn Jordan all of Summerville; grandchildren: John Nettles, Jr (Lindsey), Anna McSwain, Jessica Luke (Adam), Christopher Jordan (Kaylen), and Michael Jordan; great- grandchildren: Parker, Benjamin, and Watson Nettles, Madilynn and Isabelle Jordan; brother: Marshall Motte (Arlene) of Summerville and her sister, Grace Motte Clopper of Denton, MD. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by sisters, Patricia Motte Wiley and Gladys Motte Jackson.
