Nancy Broomall Obituary

Nancy Lynn Hooper Broomall JOHNS ISLAND - Nancy Lynn Hooper Broomall, 73, of Johns Island, South Carolina, wife of Rev. Richard "Dick" Alan Broomall, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 13, 2025. A Celebration of Life service will be held on December 14, 2025, at 1:00 pm, at Bethany United Methodist Church in James Island, SC. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel. Nancy was born November 24, 1951, in Painesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Earl C. Hooper and Nancy Elizabeth Shultz Hooper. Nancy worked as a preschool teacher in Pearisburg, Virginia and served as a church secretary at Pinopolis United Methodist Church. She was also a current member of Bethany United Methodist Church in James Island. Serving as a pastor's wife in multiple United Methodist churches, she was known for a big smile and even bigger hugs for all those that attended. Most importantly, Nancy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother that focused on making a beautiful, safe, loving home for both her immediate and extended family. In addition to her husband, Nancy is survived by her son, Dan Broomall (Allison); daughter-in-law, Tami Hedrick Broomall; and grandchildren, Connor Broomall, Alaina Broomall, and Sophia Broomall. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her son, Scott Broomall; brothers, Kenneth Hooper and Gary Hooper; and sisters, Shirley Barrett and Carole Polling. Memorial donations can be made in Nancy's memory to Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital at www.musckids.org.
