Myron was a wonderful man and a heroic Marine. In spite of his accomplishments he remained humble. I was honored to be called his friend and admirer.

Joined by my wife, Karen, we are deeply saddened by Myron's loss, but grateful to he and Ann as instrumental in our own family's journey through life. They were Godparents to our oldest son, John, at Parris Island and remained beloved and respected mentors throughout my career in the Marine Corps. I never met a finer Marine officer or Christian gentleman than Myron. May God bless his family in these difficult times of grief. Respectfully, W.M. Meade, Colonel, USMC (Ret)

Myron was my boss at Marine Corps Institute in 1966 after my return from Vietnam. What a great boss and mentor he was! He left from MCI for Vietnam just in time to take over a rifle company in the Battle of Hue. He sent us a letter at the 'Tute where he told us that his Company Gunnery Sergeant was one of the infantry course writers from our writer unit, Gunny Bowman. Myron, a Marine extraordinaire and contributor beyond the Marine Corps, is in great company in the next life.
