Think of you so often. We really miss you. He had a sense of humor. You can always make you laugh. He dearly loved his family and friends. I could have never hoped for it better brother in law. I still shed tears from time to time.

I am so sorry to learn of Monte's passing. We were Adams High School classmates and always had fun in Spanish class. When he or I entered the class we would greet each other by "drawing out" the pronunciation of our names.Then we would laugh!! Although that was years ago, whenever I think about high school years, that always comes to my mind.

May God bestow peace, comfort, and love upon each Beaudway family member during this time and in the days to come.

My brother in law Monte will be greatly missed. He was more like a brother than a brother in law. So many laughs and good times. He had an amazing personality. He was funny, kind and loved his life and his wife.
Cant believe he is good. I am extremely saddened. Lucky Ryan and Drew knew you. You were a great role model for him. Love you man!

Monte, you were the brother I never had. You have a zest for life and are the life of the party. I always laugh around you. You are kind, genuine, supportive loving man with a huge heart for those you love. Thank you for loving and supporting my family. You will be deeply missed. Love you Monte!

I've been thinking about writing this post for the past week but nothing really sounded right because I truly can't imagine a world without monte beaudway. I could write about all the crazy stories and ridiculous things you have said over the years, but then I would run out of space. I guess what I want to say is thank you. Thank you for being one of my biggest fans, thank you for introducing me to one of my favorite places on earth which is now our second home, thank you for being uncle Monte (even though your heart told you that you were still my age) and thank you for always being there when I needed you. We were so shocked to hear about Monte's passing. I remember your wedding day! Upon hearing this sad news Duf said I hope he passed on a golf course with a cigar in his mouth and it sounds like he did. Happy memories won't erase the pain but they will see you through. Would be great to hear from you.

My most sincere prayers to the entire Beaudway family. I met Monte 18? Years ago in my first buyer job at Caterpillar. He taught me quite a bit about the fabrication business, along w the supplier of the moment nth (Craig Joraanstad). Monte and I argued about the Bears and Packers rivalry everytime we met. He talked with me about life through one of my darkest times. Monte always asked of my daughters, like he new them. Incredibly special man who will be missed. Watching the video service was wonderful since we couldn't be there with you, we are grateful for that and the many wonderful memories we take with us. Nancy I am still heartbroken at this news. Even tho Monte and I haven't spoken in 20 years I want you to know I never stopped loving him and you. God Bless Monte. I so admired him in so many ways He was better than most people. I knew that. How magnetic. I feel blessed to be in his orbit for quite a long time. I am sure that you have thousands of great memories of your years with him; you should mourn but also dwell upon those memories. One such memory I have of him was the occasion that I mentioned to him that Becky (Wiseman), whom I had just started dating, "...really liked her wine"; I then inquired of him as to whether you liked wine or whatever, at which point Monte quickly said, without hesitation, and with his normal humor, "...They don't call her Nancy Chardonnay for nothing !". I was interduced to Monte at Vincennes University in 1970. His sense of humor always was present and his ability alway look on the bright side. Moving to South Bend, we lived together for 3 years. I enjoyed the time I spent with Monte, we lived life to the fullest as you 20 somethings could. He alway had a game plan and he always got there. The news of Monte's passing stunned me beyond belief. I'm quite speechless over hearing Monte's no longer with us. We spent many lunch hours together while working at IMF where I began to understand why this larger than life personality was one unique individual. The last time I saw Monte was at Fred Severns' funeral and he still had that comfortable sense familiarity about him. He will be missed by the many friends he made in life and the memories he made with them. There will be a giant void to fill with his absence.

Such a magnetic personality, I always gravitated and looked up too him but we had separate paths it's a shame that that's what it came down too. No resentment here. Nancy, we were so shocked to hear of Monte's sudden and unexpected passing. I have been thinking about you and can't imagine what you must be going through. I'm extremely saddened to know that I won't see the two of you together again, whether it's boating on Diamond Lake, or just out and about around town. Monte's over the top personality was infectious. He made everyone smile or chuckle. I remember him teaching Zach to say, What's up, hot chicks?!, when Zach was just a few years old! Lol. Monte and I have been friendly competitors in the metal fabrication business for 26 years. When he would call me on the phone, he would say "How's Parsnips doing?" (The company I work for is Parsons). Monte just LOVED calling us "Parsnips".
He and I would make sales calls on Caterpillar and would run into each other. Monte would comically complain that "your sales bag is probably FULL of Caterpillar blueprints...did you leave me any work to get?" We would chuckle together. On one infamous sales call, the buyers were pulling a prank on Monte. He had an appointment the same day I was in. They put together a fake plaque proclaiming me and the company I work for Supplier of the Year. For those who knew Monte, you can imagine the colorful words that easily flowed from his lips. It was an hysterical moment many of us will never forget.
And finally; a voicemail message from Monte that I kept for years that would always make me laugh when I listened to it...Monte was having my company look at quoting a part for his company. I emailed him our quote. He left me a voicemail. Monte was laughing uncontrollably on the other end; "No wonder you get all the work, you can't read a print!" (We made an error on the type of steel used).
We did enjoy the business we were in. What a great guy.

Nancy, just wanted you to know how sorry Jen, Zack and I are about Monte. He was a force!

I did some work for Monte in the summer of 1992 at his Diamond Lake home. I installed an approach to his house entrance with pavers and also did some interior painting. He was an absolutely wonderful person. He had a great sense of humor and was so much fun to be around. Although my only experience with him was working for him that summer, I'll never forget what a "cool" person he was. He once mentioned that his brother Mike told him I was a drummer so I invited him to come see our basement music room "Club Haney" but, unfortunately, he was such a busy guy we were never able to make that happen. R.I.P. Monte.......... you were an awesome person!

Nancy, Jennifer & I were so shocked and saddened to read of Monte's passing. What a larger than life personality he was. Having fun with Monte was a primary reason for me graduating from UND in '76 instead of '75 as I should have. It was always a treat to bump into him in recent years at Sunny Italy or meandering through the grocery store.

Nancy, I am so sorry for your loss. I was absolutely stunned when I heard about Monte today. He was definitely one of a kind - larger than life! Thinking of him puts a smile on my face! So many fun memories. He definitely lived life to the fullest and will be missed!

In the game of life,my brother never got cheated! He lived life with a passion, zest and complexity that was to be admired. I marveled at his unique sense of humor and would find myself laughing out loud as he conversed with someone on the phone in his office next to mine. I often mentioned that his free wheeling personality and approach to life was such that you could literally lock him in a closet (something I contemplated numerous times) and he would still find a way to have a good time! We shared a bedroom for 17 years and you can only imagine the conversations that took place. No one could string together "4 letter words" better than my brother and his ability to instantly do so was legendary... especially on the golf course. He had a huge personality and once you spent time with "Mote", you never forgot him. He also was "The Mayor of Diamond Lake" and always ran uncontested, since nobody was better qualified. Over the years, many have commented about how different we were and could not believe we were brothers, but I'm here to tell you that not only were we brothers, but also 45 year business partners and confidants. I take a some solace knowing he passed quickly while doing something he passionately loved with 3 good friends. I was so grateful he finally got to spend time with his nephews Dean & Victor and at least,saw pictures of his only niece (Madison Grace)....born only 2 days before Monte's passing. I will truly miss my brother as will my wife Cindy and his 2 nephews (Nick & Kyle) and his only niece (Alissa). To them, Uncle Monte was larger than life and they always looked forward to seeing their QUIET Uncle Monte. As I write this, it is both heartbreaking and shocking to unexpectantly lose a close family member, but doubly difficult when the lose is someone with whom you have shared so much of your life knowing he embraced it full throttle with an unmatched intensity. I will miss my brother greatly and our hearts, prayers and thoughts go out to Nancy.

My parents & my brothers we're companions of their family (The M Squad) when we were youngsters. Monte was constantly upbeat. He'll be missed by many.
