Mildred Postell Ravenel, SC - Mildred Eulalia "Laya" Timmons Postell, 63, widow of Bill Postell, Sr., of Ravenel, SC passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016. Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday morning, September 1, 2016 at 11 o'clock at White Church Cemetery in Ravenel. Visitation will be held at Parks Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 until 8 o'clock. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 269 Calhoun Street, Charleston, SC 29401. Eulalia was born November 29, 1952 in Charleston, SC, a daughter of Noble Bruce Timmons, Sr. and Mildred Leona Weaver Timmons. She was a legal secretary. Survivors include her grandson, William Hampton Postell, of Ravenel; one brother, Benjamin Thomas Timmons of Ravenel; three sisters, Naomi Ruth Morris (Michael) of Ravenel, Linda Joyce Timmons of Walterboro, Ida Elaine Rudd (Marion) of North Charleston; her loving sister-in-law, Holly Timmons of Walterboro; her loving companion, Monty Harrison; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Noble and Mildred Timmons; her husband Bill Postell, Sr.; her son and daughter-in-law, Bill, Jr. and Lynette Postell; a brother, Noble Bruce Timmons, Jr.; and her sister, Pauline Drucilla Hill.
