Maxine Roe Obituary

Maxine Eaddy Roe MYRTLE BEACH, SC - Maxine Eaddy Roe passed away suddenly in Myrtle Beach, SC on Tuesday, November 26th. She is survived by her husband and the love of her life for 55 years, Thomas (Tom) Shockley Roe, a daughter Eaddy Roe Willard and her husband T. D. (Bo) Willard of Columbia, SC and a son, Christopher (Chris) Thomas Roe, also of Columbia. She is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law Fred Eaddy and wife Sue of Florence, SC and a sister, Marilyn Eaddy Keisler Prater ofColumbia, SC. In addition, she is survived by a sister-in-law Ann Roe Rose and her husband Porter of Greenville, SC. Maxine led a very full earthly life meeting head-on the many joys and challenges of life that included several career-related family relocations as well as the daily ups and downs that life deals to everyone. Throughout it all, Maxine's greatest joy remained in her relationships with her family and friends. Her genuine interest in the activities and accomplishments of others drew people to her and she was always ready with a sympathetic ear for those in need of friendship and counsel. Maxine was a truly devoted wife, mother and friend who also held a special place for her church, the First Presbyterian Church of Myrtle Beach, where she served as a deacon. Her service on the landscape committee of their home at Sea Mark Tower and her love of plants and flowers helped brighten the lives of many. Maxine was a gracious and soft-spoken lady with a generous heart who found special joy in the remembrances and renewals of family gatherings. Her energy and enthusiasm for life will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and many friends. A celebration of Maxine's life will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, December 5th at the First Presbyterian Church, 1300 North Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach, SC. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Building Fund or to the charity of one's choice. Guest book available at MyrtleBeachFuneralHome.com.
