Matthew is a treasure who will be so very deeply missed by all who knew him. He enhanced and enriched many lives with his caring, delightful wit, and compassion for all. As a dedicated Toastmaster, he made a major, remarkable contribution to excellence by conceiving and hosting the Region 7 Matthew Winthrop Showcase. Matthew loved quotations and music. He was a treasured friend of mine for over 30 years, and I will always remember this wonderful man. I extend my deep condolences to his family and friends. Love and Prayers, Dacia Nickerson

Oh, the world just lost a very caring and interesting man. Matthew was so instrumental in Toastmasters. He helped prison clubs with donations, helped keep community clubs with interaction. Matthew and I had lunch together a few times each year. A very good man, I will miss his company so much!
God Bless.

I remember Matt from the Old South Church singles group in the 1970s. Always kind and pleasant despite his disabilities. They did not get in the way of his having a good time. RIP.
