So sorry to read of the recent passing of Mary Vaughan. I came to know her through her husband, Bill, a fellow-maritime attorney here in Charleston, with whom I enjoyed a long and pleasant professional relationship. Mary was not only a wonderfully supportive and dedicated lawyers wife, but also a delightfully entertaining hostess for the several gatherings of maritime lawyers and their spouses held at their home when Bill was still actively practicing. To Barnie, Edward, Harriet, and the entire Vaughan family, my wife and I extend our deepest sympathies for your loss, knowing you will take much solace in the sure knowledge
that Mary is now fully healed, and back with Bill, and her Lord. Blessings to you all.

Ed and Barney, I am sad I will not be with you all tomorrow! Your mother will always hold a very special place in my heart! Oh the songs we used to sing and the stories she and William used to tell! Loved going bogging and crabbing and shrimping right from Dadoo’s wharf.

May God's peace be upon you, and, Barney, may the sure knowledge that your mother is in the shining presence of Christ's pure love and that you will certainly see her again when you join her there, comfort you through this difficult time. Prayers for all the family.
