Mary Edna DeLoach Sauls VARNVILLE, SC - Mrs. Mary Edna DeLoach Sauls, 81, of Varnville, SC died Wednesday morning at the Pelion Elder Care Center in Pelion, SC after an extended illness. Born June 25, 1928, in Varnville, SC she was the daughter of the late Charles Devie DeLoach and Mary Jeanette "Nette" Crosby DeLoach. She was a Seamstress and a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church where she was active with the Senior Citizens Group. She was the widow of the Mr. Marion Eugene DeLoach and Mr. William Robert Sauls. She is survived by one son: William Eugene DeLoach of Varnville, SC, two daughters: Mary Jeanette Wingate of Ridge Springs, SC, and Rosanell Stanley Tagliavia of Sun Valley, NV, one sister: Dorothy McAlhaney of Varnville, SC. There are nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Sauls is predeceased by two sisters: Irene DeWitt and Allene Peeples. The family would like to give special thanks to Rhonda Wingate her "Dedicated Caregiver" Funeral services will be held Saturday August 8, 2009, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of PEEPLES-RHODEN FUNERAL HOME, INC., conducted by the Rev. Olin Wingate, Sr. Friends may call Friday evening at the funeral home located at 300 Mulberry St. West, Hampton, SC 29924 (803-943-3352), from 6 to 8 p.m., and until the hour of service on Saturday morning. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made in honor of her grandson Jack Wingate who has Cerebral Palsy to Jeanette Wingate, 1107 W. Main St., Ridge Springs, SC 29129.
