Mary Ellen MacGregor
Charleston - Mary Ellen Zeigler MacGregor, 81, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Monday, December 15, 2025. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2025 in First (Scots) Presbyterian Church, 53 Meeting Street at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends after the service in Molly Weir Fellowship Hall. Interment at Magnolia Cemetery will be private.
Mary Ellen was born November 18, 1944, in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of Robert Miller Zeigler and Evelyn LaFar Zeigler. She was a lifelong educator with a storied career, much of which was spent at Ashley Hall School where she positively impacted the lives of many young women.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Gregor MacGregor, daughter, Katherine LaFar MacGregor, five grandchildren, as well as many much loved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Charleston Animal Society.
