Mary Alice Steed Johnson Mt. Pleasant - Mrs. Mary Steed Johnson, entered eternal rest on Monday, November 15, 2021. Mrs. Steed is the widow of Allen Johnson, Sr., daughter of the late James Steed, Jr. and the late Rev. Anna Lee Steed and sister of the late James "Pop" Steed, III. She is survived by her children: Allen (Tanya) Johnson, Jr. of Yulee, Florida, Terrell (Susita) Johnson and Antwan (Nicole) Johnson of Jacksonville, Florida; siblings: Elizabeth Marie Steed Holloway of Columbia, SC, Shirley Ann Steed (Edward) Richardson of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Donna F. Steed of Awendaw, SC; aunts and uncles: Isiah Thompson, Herbert Earnell, Thompson and William Bryant Steed of Awendaw, SC, Arthur Steed of Denver, Colorado, Roosevelt Dennis Thompson of Huger, SC, and Susan T. (Samuel) Middleton of Buckhall - McClellanville, SC; in-laws: Rosa T. Steed of Awendaw, SC, Carol (Terry) Hawkins of Houston, TX, and Earl Johnson of Charleston, SC; special niece/nephew: Kenneth L. Holloway of N. Charleston, SC, and Don'nah Holloway of Columbia, SC; special cousins: Shirley Annette Weston, Henry, Carolyn and Mark Gray, all of Awendaw, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family of Mrs. Johnson will celbrate her life with a service on Friday, November 19, 2021, 10:00 a.m. at Union A.M.E. Church - 7213 Highway 17 N. - Awendaw, SC 29429. The Interment will follow in the church's cemetery. There will be a Walk-Through viewing on Thursday, November 18, 2021, 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the Reverend Bryan McNeal, Sr. Memorial Chapel - 4129 Highway 17 N., Awendaw, SC 29429.
