Mary Drawdy Obituary

DRAWDY, Mary Mrs. Mary Ann Bennett Drawdy, 83, of Hampton died Sunday evening, February 17, 2008 in the Hampton Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. Born July 6, 1924 in Hampton, she was the daughter of the late James Wilson Bennett and Mae Carr Bennett. She was a homemaker, a member of Hampton Church of God and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Mary Louise Drawdy of Hampton, six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and nine great, great grandchildren. She was married to the late Joe Hugh Drawdy. She was predeceased by two sons, Eddie Hugh Drawdy and Jimmy Wilson Drawdy; five brothers, Jessie Bennett, Willie Bennett, Tom Bennett, Murphy Bennett and James Bennett and six sisters, Mae Bell Padgett, Lila Padgett, Lilly Ginn, Annie Padgett, Minnie Bell and Debbie Ginn. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 PM in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton. Burial will follow in the Thames Cemetery near Varnville.
