Mary Helen Criel (Bloomer)Mary Helen Criel (Bloomer), age 78 of Oxford, MI, formerly of Rhinelander, WI and Sterling Heights, MI, died August 10, 2014. Born October 20, 1935, daughter of the late John and Helen Bloomer and widow of Rodney T. Criel Sr. She was also preceded in death by her brother Johnny Bloomer. Survived by daughter Debe (Stephen) Edwards of Bluffton, SC; son Rodney (Pauline) T. Criel Jr. of Oxford, MI; and four grandchildren, Abigail, Sarah Ann (Lucas), William and Matthew. Also survived by brothers Mike Bloomer of Texas, Tom Bloomer of Wisconsin, and Mark Bloomer of Missouri. Mary was a 1953 graduate of Rhinelander High School. She worked as the Hearing and Vision Coordinator for the Macomb County Health Department, Mt. Clemens, MI for over 25 years, retiring in 1997. In retirement she spent time with her family, traveled, and volunteered. A significant portion of her retirement was spent in Rhinelander, WI, with her companion, Don Reed, whom she also leaves behind. Funeral Mass from St. Joseph Catholic Church, 715 N. Lapeer Rd., Lake Orion, MI 48362, Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 11 AM (visitation beginning at the church at 10 AM). Interment White Chapel Memorial Cemetery, Troy, MI. Visitation will take place at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors, 39 W. Burdick, Oxford, Wednesday, August 13th from 3-8 PM with a rosary at 7 PM.
