Crossing the Bar

Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,

But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.

Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;

For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.

To Barbara, Randy and Terrence and family,

Watch, O Lord, with all those who suffer loss this day.
Watch O Lord with all those who weep.
Give your angels and saints charge over all who sleep.
We ask that you tend to your ailing ones
And hold your grieving ones in your love, Lord.
Guard your little ones and heal the broken.
And bless your dying ones in your love, O Lord of all.
Amen

October 22, 2009

To the Family, I extend my deepest sympathy on the loss of a mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and friend. Mary always had a smile on her face when I saw her, even if things were not going the way she expected. I hope that you will take time to remember her love, warmth and words of wisdom. Rest assured that the Creator has a plan that we may not always understand and that Mary has joined the council of ancestors that will continue to guide us. Deborah A. Jackson, Lithonia GA.

To:Barbara and Family,

I am so sorry about the lost of you're Mother. Ms. Mary was a wonderful person, had a beautiful personality. She always had a kind word everytime we met, it seems like I would not see her for a few years and we would pick up right where we left off. Of course, I would always see her at Aunt Dorothy's house. I know she is in the arms of the Lord. Barbara, you stay strong and my prayers are forever with you and your family. Love, Dee

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

To the Butler and Townsend Family:

She's in a better place right now
Than she's ever been before
All pain is gone, she's now at rest
Nothing troubles her anymore.

It's we who feel the burden of
Our sadness and our grief
We have to cry, to mourn our loss
Before we get relief.

We know we'll reconnect with her
At the end of each life's road
We'll see her cherished face again
When we release our earthly load.

Peace and Blessings.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

13But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

To Betty and Family, May God continue to bless and keep you.

GOD loves you and I do too.

No loss is greater than that of a Mother. I encourage you at this time to draw nigh to the "Most High" and he will draw nigh to you. In your weakness God's strength is made perfect. I pray that this scripture will bring you comfort in the loss of your Mother 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. Always remember "The Joy of the Lord is your Strength!

To Barbara and family,

Time is too slow for those who wait
Too swift for those who fear
Too long for those who grieve
Too short for those who rejoice
But, for those who love –
Time is eternity.
