Cherish the memories of your mother. She leaves a wonderful legacy and I am truly grateful that I had the pleasure of having been influenced by a woman who influenced many people with her gentle spirit, grace, humility, and quiet strength.

I was sorry to here about the loss of your mother. I loss my dad last month, therefore I understand what you and your family are going through. I wish that I could have been with you at her funeral, but circumstances here at school prevent me from attending.



As so many people have asked me, "if there is anything I can do, please let me know..." (with all sincerety) We will include you and your family in our prayers. If you ever want someone to talk with, please consider me.

Dear Jackie and family, I remember you're mother with a great smile. Here I was this naive 22 year old brand new teacher, who didn't have a clue about the attendance book, the lunch count or the wonderful country children that I had been given resposiblity for, when your mother said to me, "It will all turn out alright". She was right. I remember her fondly during my five years at Cainhoy. She was tiny and petite, but you didn't get around that. Her student truly loved her. I also remember well, her Volkswagon bug. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I'm so sorry that I will not be able to be with you.

I even went on to SCSU and Majored in Home Economics due to her influence.My husband Norman remembers his father Norman, Sr telling him that she was a member of his basketball team at SCSC, so you see my family share many wounderful memories of your mother.
