We are so touched by all the kind words of Marty's friends and neighbors in SC. Marty loved SC and we're sure that the wonderful friends he had there were one of the main reasons. Marty was such a terrific person with a wonderful smile and a great sense of humor. It is heartwarming to hear how much he will be missed by friends and family in both PA and SC.

I can't begin to express my sympathies and am still trying to accept the fact that Marty's no longer just down the street.

Marty was a great friend to me and I cherish not only the physical mementos (including a wonderful umbrella that always cheers me up on rainy days!)that he gave me, but also the beautiful memories I have of our times together.

My prayers and love, Michelle

I was Marty's real estate agent and I helped him purchase his townhouse in Hamlin Plantation when he first moved here. I am so sorry to read about his death. I can't believe it! He was so young and so full of life! I really enjoyed getting to know him - he was so witty and fun to be around. I am sorry for your loss and I plan on attending the service on Saturday. I will keep you all in my prayers.

Rob,
Thank you for planning a memorial service to honor Marty in the place he most recently called home, South Carolina. He was a fun brother, caring Uncle, admired son, and respected friend who will be missed more than words can describe at this time. I am trying to dig up the many happy memories of our youth. I remember lots of laughter with Marty - he always had something funny/silly to contribute to a situation usually delivered with a twist of sarcasim! He had so many friends while growing up!

I look forward to celebrating his short life with you and his friends this weekend.

With sympathy,

Karen (Sweeney) Koussis
