Karen Bomar Obituary

Karen Louise (Morris) Bomar, 60, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family, in the early hours of December 26, 2025.

Born on March 7, 1965, in Waltham, Massachusetts, Karen was the daughter of the late Joseph Thomas Morris and Caroline May Ballou. Though born in New England, she was raised in the foothills of Lynchburg, Virginia, and always carried the memories of her upbringing there with her.

Karen was a devoted Mother and Grandmother who was defined by her incredible work ethic and resilience. Her unwavering commitment was felt throughout the two decades she dedicated to Apria Healthcare, where she was a respected colleague and friend. Her dedication to those she loved, both at home and at work, was her hallmark.

Her memory lives on through her daughter, Carin Najjar; her grandchildren, Salina and Elijah Najjar; her brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Shirley Morris; as well as her nieces, nephews, extended family, dear friends, and colleagues.

Karen has joined her husband, Russell James Bomar, her parents, and her brother, Michael Morris, in eternal peace. The family will honor Karen's memory by returning her to the quiet beauty of the locations that brought her the most peace.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Karen's memory to the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation at diabetesresearch.org or a charity of your choice.
